Fate is something Rigoletto cannot escape. He cannot change the fact that he is deformed and has to act ridiculous. Despite that, he manifests profound affection; one towards his daughter. A world of absurdity and moral ambiguity, a collision of the incompatible. A space flooded by an outside gaze, watching clandestinely the darkest secrets and vices of a society in decadence. A place where excesses are allowed and those who dare to denounce perversions are punished.
