Medea
Text by Euripides
“Lying without food, she gives her body up to pain, and has been wearing down the nights and days with tears, since she found she had been wrong treated by her man.” - Chorus, Medea, Euripides.
Reflecting on the victims of Mexico’s spiraling violence, Medea confronts this harsh reality. She deconstructs the original Greek text by Euripides, simultaneously collecting its fragments. This piece aims to create a space that gives voice to the stories and bodies that have been buried and erased—a space of memory and resurrection.
